    One down, one to go.

    Katelyn auditioned yesterday. There were 100 kids auditioning for approximately 15 slots. She did well and was accepted immediately for the summer program. That’s a good sign. In 2-4 weeks she should hear about the big program.

    Congressman Ron Paul:

    * Authored Family Education Freedom Act, allowing parents a tax credit of up to $5,000 per student per year to offset costs of education.
    * Will guarantee parity for home school diplomas and advancement of equal scholarship consideration for home schooled high school graduates.
    * Will prevent the Department of Education from regulating home school activities.
    * Will veto any legislation that creates national standards or national testing for home school parents or students.

    Valerie’s found it. I’d propose an amendment. Since we know that television makes you dumb(er), no Mississippi State Senator will be allowed to enter a Best Buy or Circuit City. The Senate is dumb enough, already.
