AA FOR REPUBLICANS
Some Colorado legislators want to impose an “Academic Bill of Rights” on the state university system. One proposal is to tie the school’s funding to hiring more conservative professors. Is this even necessary? I’ve never though of CU as being particularly “left.”

Um, Daryl, how often do you generally think about CU at all? The last time I thought about Colorado was when they won the college football national title back in ’90 or ’91. |

Yes, it is Left. There was a conservative CU professor on the Dennis Prager show a while back (I know, I know… you’re not a fan) and he expressed great loneliness. -Stephanie in Evergreen, CO |

Coming from one that lives near CU and has been up there many times, the entire university and city it’s in are very left. Leftest spot in the west outside of California! |

Please do not treat this comment as flippant, but how can a “conservative” professor teach any of the liberal arts and sciences? A University is probably the only place remaining in our country where a young mind can be exposed to thought and philosophy that is not tainted by the heavy hand of corporate mind control. – Ed |
