Darby found a cartoon from the SF Gate that isn’t exactly pleased with the state of the g-schools.

It most certainly is NOT satire. It is whining about more money, money, money. Underperforming schools are that way because of a lack of money. Extracurricular activities also contribute to the inability to pass standardized tests. I sent the cartoonist a polite email, with a few sources he could look into, if he’s honestly interested in improving public schools. |

Hey, that cartoon had some good ideas — like getting rid of essentially non-academic subjects (art and music for example), sports, needless field trips, focusing on reading, writing, and math, and laying off a few teachers. |
