Filed at 6:34 pm under by dcobranchi

    This one is almost comical:

“It [homeschooling] makes me sad,” said Debbie Martino, principal of Gomes Elementary in Cold Springs. “I can’t imagine keeping a child home and away from all the fun in school. School is just a healthy place to be.”

Yeah- me, too. My kids were just miserable all weekend (in between the Faire, fossil hunting, and canoeing) knowing all the fun they were missing at the local g-school today.

…and a lovely mum teaching at the dining room table picture just for Tim!

I think I am going to get hold of my local rag and get a more life like article done…maybe.

This quote jumped out at me “You just can’t go home and tell them to do their homework. You have to monitor things very closely. Kids just don’t learn on their own.”

Yeah, right. And you can if your kids are in g-school. I’ve been told so many things that I will have to teach my daughter just to be ready for kindergarten, I figured I may as well teach it all to her. And at least at this age she does teach herself, quite often!

    Up to 15 cents …

Are those Cuisenaire rods painted on the back wall?

I guess if they were being forced to perform oral sex behind the garage, they would be getting that “healthy” socialism they missed in gym class at the g-school? Oh wait, they enrolled in high school so it may not be too late.

Tim, I think you should be more concerned about the folded flag and the camo school uniform. Obviously a militia effort. Where’s Janet Reno when you need her?

Hey wait a minute.. you mean y’all don’t handcuff your kids to the radiator and toss them a chunk of raw meat every so often..
if you were really cooncerned about the lack of socialization you could bring them into the bathroom and beat them up and steal their lunch money..
