on insuring stay-at-home moms. There’s no way I could ever afford to pay someone enough to do everything Lydia does for the family. I think I’m going to make an appointment to talk to our insurance agent and up her coverage.

Don’t forget to get an extended service warranty… 🙂

I made sure to insure my husband when I got a job. I do need to increase the coverage, though. Of course, the cost is going to be more than people usually insuring stay-at-home parents because 1) he’s a man, and 2) he’s 13 years older than me (and older than most women having kids). It’s worth it, though. I wouldn’t be able to work as I do if I didn’t have that support.

That’s what we did about a year ago. Got our insurance re-evaluated and it turns out I, the mom , had to be insured for more, because if I kicked the bucket he’d have to hire a whole lot of people to keep things going smoothly. I had never thought about it before. Not sure I want to think about it now either….but good that you realize your wife’s ability to keep the balls in the air.
