Oh, the power of the blogosphere!

Michelle Malkin is all wound up about the Muskegon terrorism drill. She’s demanding an apology. As sharp-eyed blog-commenters have noted, they’ve already apologized.

As a complete aside, I am constantly amazed at how fast things happen and news spreads via blogs. Laura Derrick found this one Sunday night. By Monday a.m. the bloggers and listservs had it. The apologies were issued Monday p.m. A day later, the pundits weigh in. I expect the Old Media will get the story sometime around Friday, long after we’ll have moved on.

UPDATE: This story made the top of the charts at EducationNews.org today.

    Michelle also has a blog:

I wrote to one of the people who supposedly “apologized”. It was a poor excuse for an apology. It basically elevated his understanding for the need for security over the need to be “tolerant”, “kind” or “respectful”. What a complete twist of irony that a PS need not be politically correct when it comes to homeschoolers.

Anyway, his apology and my letter is on my blog. I’ll post any response as well.

Yeah, I am thinking of having a fire drill at home – you know, practice escape routes, meeting point, pretend to call the “DumbAss, Get-A-Clue” fire department.

Of course, the fire department name is ficticious and the name is not meant to offend any real fire department personnel.

If it’s important enough I may even do it without federal funding…
