Traci forwarded four local stories in the news today. I’m just going to give the lede from each. I really don’t need to add anything.

DOWNINGTOWN, PA (AP) A veteran teacher who worked as a reading specialist at three Chester County schools was arraigned Tuesday on charges that he viewed and transmitted child pornography on his personal computer at his home.

A Marion T. Academy kindergartner who fell asleep on a school bus Tuesday morning awoke to find himself alone after the driver apparently neglected to check that the bus was empty before parking at an Ogletown industrial park.

Authorities have issued arrest warrants for a 35-year-old Capital School District employee after a federal child pornography investigation that revealed allegations he had been having sex with two 14-year-old girls for the past nine years.

CAMDEN, N.J. — A New Jersey middle school principal is accused of offering money to a 14-year-old male student to take off his clothes.

    What’s the point Daryl?

Perhaps these were first offenders. Do you fault the schools for hiring somebody with a clean record who later turned out to be a perv?

They were obviously all caught. Do you fault the schools / government for catching these pervs?

You may be speechless, but simply pronouncing that there are pervs in this world to your readers carries little significance. Surely you must have additional comment.

Or statistically speaking, there’s a 1 in 10 chance that a kid will be abused by a school employee before graduating.

First offenders who had been, for example, continuously and repeatedly using little girls for sex from the time they were 4 or 5 to the present, when they are now 14?

How do you come up with a nine-year-long “first offense?”

School hired personnel do consider themselves professionals.

Professional perverts and child abusers who are paid by tax dollars and in care of children should be written and talked about. The public has a right to know who’s abusing and not taking care of the children when they’re on the taxpayer’s dime.

My understanding of the articles is, that the schools didn’t catch the pervs. If they did the articles wouldn’t have been in the papers…all four incidents would have been kept in house.

Oops, I wanted to add some more.

What if one of those children was yours?

Isn’t wrong considered wrong…even if it’s the first offense?
