YECCH!

This “S”-word article out of Alabama is fine enough. It is their state home education laws that earn the title. I guess non-religious folks need not apply. Any ‘bama home educators out there?

Seems kinda strange doesn’t it? I mean, since the Christians are the minority homeschoolers and all…

The law is weird… but note that it doesn’t say that the “church” must be Christian, or that home educators using the cover school must belong to that religion (although the Christian churches tend to go that way.)

Linda Kerr created a cover school for Pagan home educators, but, in the Pagan tradition, she assists everyone. Even Christians.

I am in Alabma and am also help administrate a church “cover” school, we accept anyone regardless of religion or lack thereof. It is an ends to a mean, Church schools are not regulated at all by our State, so homes are off campus classrooms of church schools. It is easy and works out nicely.
