    I don’t care that he’s gay. I care that he’s a 28-year-old man having sex with a 17-year-old student.

A former chorus teacher in Dover, accused earlier this month of making advances to one of his high school students, has been arrested on new charges of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

Dion L. Savage, 28, of the 500 block of Schooner Road, was charged with 13 counts of fourth-degree rape, after investigators were told that Savage was involved with the student for 10 months, Dover police said.

I really don’t know what to say. I hope that he is innocent because he has been such a wonderful role model in the dover community. I wish that people would stop persecuting him before his trail. After all, isn’t it innocent until proven guilty?

    DISGUSTED IN THE SYSTEM

In this day and age, is it not possible for someone to frame another? This man could be victim of a horrible case of “I’m mad at you, and I’m going to make you pay”. Anyone who thinks that it is not easy to take advantage of subject matter like this is wrong. Anyone one (child or even a woman) can claim something against a man and, in our society, it is custom for authorities to take the WORD of these accusers. Many men (TODAY) sit in prison who are the VICTIMS of people who have made wrong IDs and/or some of these men have not done anything at all, but YET they pay for crimes while real idiots roam the street and cause havoc and go UNNOTICED. I think that it is a shame that a child (or a woman) can say something like this and everyone takes his/her word for it and someone’s life is turned upside down before guilt or innocence is even proven. There needs to be some accountability on behalf of the system that allows this to happen.
