I think we’re ready. We have about 8 gallons of drinking water set aside, and I’m filling the bathtubs now (for toilets or other needs). Our camping lanterns and stove are sitting on the DR table. Lydia’s picking up a gallon of white gas. As long as we don’t lose power for more than 48 hours or so, we’ll be fine. |

The reason Progressive provides such great, proactive customer service is that they learned long ago that in the insurance business, the longer a claim goes unsettled, the greater the chances that lawyers will get involved, which increases everybody’s expenses. They’d rather send out a rep who will write you a check on the spot, get your vehicle towed straight to the repair shop, etc. because it makes the customer happy and it saves them money in the long run. |
