NO WAY
This stat has to be bogus.
Recent statistics show there are fewer Tennessee children who are taught at home. The Tennessee Department of Education says there were nearly two thousand fewer children home-schooled this year than last year — only 45-hundred this year.

Probably two thousand fewer *registered* children. They played with statistics like that here too. |

Does TN have public cyber-charter schools? They have certainly affected the number of home educated students in PA. |

Maybe the political argument made against Kay being unworthy for the school board (that’s she’s an outcast non-citizen because she homeschooled her own) has made the population so leery of us as outcasts that it’s affecting the numbers, as the weak-minded jump ship? |

Yes, I scan through here–been very busy lately though. I don’t believe homeschooling is shrinking in Tennessee. I posted some context to my own blog KayBro...ot.com and to the HSWatch list. Basically the DOE has been cleaning up the numbers, LEA’s have been asking for extrra-legal information and the homeschool friendly guy at the DOE has left. All, I believe, have contributed to this smaller number. |
