I missed Dr. Phil’s hit piece on homeschooling. The show seems to have generated a few comments.

It’s so damned pointless trying to change closed and demonstrably irrational minds. Unless home ed becomes a referendum subject, the rest of the world can misbelieve what it wants.

    You didn’t miss much, Daryl.
Dr. Phil has a little videoclip of his own thoughts in a warm-up suit after the show, saying that as a child he was interested only in what he could “bounce, throw, kick, eat or date” — but concluding that the wisest course is to “find what works best for your own kid.”

It didn’t even air in Iowa. We got football, instead. This is probably the only time I’ve been happy football was airing rather than another show.

We got stuck with College ball here, too. I’ve been reading mixed reactions. Of course, the fewer people who see such drivel, the better.

(Dr Phil, that is. Not college ball. People get shot here for disparaging college sports, so I just want to make that clear. Go Rebels.)

I hope Mississippi enjoyed both victories this year 🙂

I saw it. See my blog for a recap. Note it was rescheduled from its original air date.

    Phil’s an idiot.

Right conference to illustrate the point! 🙂
But Ole Miss isn’t the best current example of how college ball and college learning are analogous . . . unfortunately my Gators are.
