    I recognized the English words used for the designations, and I wish it ‘computed,’ but I guess I have to be content with merely recognizing the direction of the conversation. 🙂

    The quark names mean nothing, absolutely nothing, lol. They might as well have named them 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The scientists succumbed to that same geeky urge that I don’t have the willpower to resist when I name my engineering test parts “Sword, Vorpal w/snicker-snack,” “Bandersnatch, frumious,” “Borogove, mimsy,” and “Jabberwock, whiffling, w/eyes of flame.”

    They originally played with “truth and beauty” instead of “top and bottom.”
