    It’s not ok to pose with chain mail and a broadsword for school pictures, but it is ok for the school to use a gun as part of its school symbol. Whatever. (H/T StarGirl)

    But he can buy an ad and use the picture. Apparently, the going rate for a school administrator’s principles is about $25.

    This must actually be a pretty funky yearbook, whether or not they include the chainmail and broadsword. We were stuck with the standard school photos in my school’s yearbook.

    You’d think the school would have figured out a more sensible response given that they’d had similar issues in previous years. On the other hand, I’d hate to be on the committee tasked to write those regs – how to include the “this weapon is part of who I am” crowd but still weed out the kids whose pic would generate “why didn’t anyone see this one coming” comments several years down the line…
