    Daryl,

I clicked on your link and realized that you were randomly selected to come to their little get-together in your area. Don’t you feel special now?

I would be interested to know how they randomly select homeschoolers to attend these meetings.

All 2nd year homeschools will eventually be “randomly selected.”

“In addition, you are encouraged to bring…anything else you might want to voluntarily show to our staff representative…”

Heheheh…I can think of a few things. A copy of the law perhaps?

LOL Bonnie, that is a great idea!

Daryl, I also wonder if homeschoolers who have homeschooled in NC longer than 2 years will get a letter. I am especially wondering if those of us who have homeschooled 2+ years in the state and did not return our little card will be “randomly” selected. Just thinking outloud………And a public post like this might make me more apt to be “randomly” selected.

Have a great day ya’ll! Tami

I was assured by Helder himself that it was only 2nd year homeschoolers. According to DNPE, we’re in only our 2nd year.

So – will you be replying to this letter as they have, er, demanded?

Is it time to build one of those inspection boxes outside your front door?

    Inquiring minds want to know!

What? My open letter’s not enough? 🙂

No, we’re not responding to their “invitation.”

I received my letter today, Feb 20th, as well….it is our second year since starting back up. I guess that gives me three days to not respond by their 10-day deadline.
