    HSLDA’s interpretation is spot on here. There’s no requirement that we hang on to the stupid orange card at all. Ours went accidentally fell into the trash the day we got it.

    I’m curious about situations like this. Why did the member family feel the need to contact HSLDA? Were they usure themselves about what the law required of them? I just don’t understand why this demand needed a response at all. Was this simply a way to make the school district more informed?

    HSLDA encourages its members to call them for everything. And really, if you are going to pay them the $100 a year, you might as well use it if the opportunity arises.
