Wiiiiii
The kids got their big present early. It definitely lives up to the hype. Bonus features that I was unaware of: 1) It has built-in WiFi. This worked flawlessly. It not only found our network on the first try, but it found our neighbor’s, too. 🙂 Downloading the firmware update was a bit slow, but it worked the way it is supposed to and 2) It has an SD slot for uploading jpegs and MP3s. The slide show looked surprisingly good on a standard def TV.

I wanted a Wii this year. However, the Wii doesn’t have Ace Combat 6, which is the entire reason my son wants it. I just hope the online play doesn’t suck up too much bandwidth. If he interferes with my online activities we will have issues 🙂 |

We went with the X-box 360. I wanted a Wii, but the husband’s choice won out considering he games more than I do. It’s hard to play anything one-handed (the other hand being occupied by a baby). |

My older son’s solution (he has a job) to the ‘which platform to buy’ conundrum was to get both with all his expendable cash… sigh. My advice… hold on tight (and use the wrist straps!) to those controllers if playing the bowling or tennis games,… You don’t want to trash your tv screen! enjoy! |

I love the bowling game. Very realistic pin action. My high game is 215, which is spitting distance to my real high score ever– 231. |
