My very talented elder daughter is in the process of applying to the North Carolina School of the Arts. If all goes well at the Feb. 2nd audition, she’ll be leaving home (essentially for good) in approximately 6 months. She just turned 14 last week.

I think you might be doing the “home” schooling thing wrong 😉

Seriously, congratulations, just don’t tell Delaney that there are schools where she could take classes in dressage.

Thanks. Yeah, I can’t take my eyes off her or Chelsea (who is possibly even more talented) when they dance.

    Wow. Best wishes.

COD – don’t worry too much. You’ll be homeschooling while she hits the show circuit with a really good trainer. Much more betterer than doing a high school with a riding program for the serious competitor. 🙂

Her application went in on Saturday. As an HEK she had to submit an expository writing sample. She chose to write on why the separation of church and state is a good thing.

    Smart girl. 🙂
