Exodus Mandate wins the award for “Most Over the Top” appeal:

    ExodusMandate : Jan 2008 Appeal:

Dear Friends and Supporters of Exodus Mandate,

In this first action letter of the year, I want to alert you to an immediate danger to Christian children in California and ask you to join our 2008 effort to save these children and our nation, and to strengthen Christian families. Please, read this urgent letter carefully.

You may have heard that Governor Schwarzenegger signed into law several new bills that radically changed California ’s public schools starting January 1. The California general public has little awareness of how deadly the new laws are, or of their significance yet, because the mainstream media has imposed a virtual news “blackout ” regarding this legislation.

    Deadly new laws? Really?

I like the theory that the liberal media is covering for the Republican Gov by instituting a media blackout on his nefarious plan.

I think they mean this, don’t they: washin...0/1013

And, err, “deadly”? And not teaching tolerance of homosexuality will help drop that teenage suicide rate then?

Soooo, mass exodus of them from California? Don’t let the rockies hit you on the ass on the way out.

Back when WND reported that ‘mommy and daddy’ were stricken from CA textbooks or whatever it was I spoke to a NCHE leader and she thought it was done. I mean, she ACTUALLY thought that CA had LITERALLY passed legislation that banned the terms “mommy” and “daddy” from the state’s textbooks. I thought…my God…these people are…I dunno…there are no words.

Oh believe me, there are words. I can think of several without even trying, but this is not my blog, so I’ll just keep thinking them to myself.

I’m with Bonnie — their literal, actual way of taking things is the most terrifying. . .
