DISCRIMINATION!!!
At the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Last year there were 36 homeschoolers out of a total of 286 spellers (12.587%). This year there are only 36 out of 288 spellers (12.500%). Obviously, Scripps has set up this bogus contest to exclude homeschoolers. I call for a boycott of whatever it is they make! Call up the cavalry HSLDA!!!

If a homeschooler doesn’t win, it will prove that I’m right and we ought to storm the Bastille. If, OTOH, an HEK does win, it will prove that Scripps really was discriminating against homeschoolers and that my boycott has been effective. So, either way, I’m write. I’m a genious. KQED. |

Just so you all know…that .087% included my 4yo. When I told her that Scripps says she is too young to participate she was simply CRUSHED! She threw the dictionary she’d been studying from across the room and just cried and cried! I will never forgive them for what they have done to my poor child! If she ends up sniper-rifling innocent people from a clock tower when she’s 13 it will be all their fault! *signing the petition right now and forwarding it to everyone in my address book* Heh. |

Scripps HATES us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t BELIEVE how ignoRANT they are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What? Are they AFRAID a homeschooler will win?????????????????? I propose a BOYCOTT ON SPELLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
