A SERIOUS QUESTION
Are Republicans really so ignorant that they think that cutting spending as the nation heads into what is likely to be a deep recession is a good idea? Or do they just think that Americans are too ignorant to know how stupid an idea it is?

They’re smart enough to know taxing is a legislative job, not executive — and they definitely won’t be in control legislatively — so maybe they figure it’s harmless enough if it gets them elected but never actually happens? |

Don’t worry – I’m sure we’ll use the phrase “spend our way out of a recession” to justify the next war that comes along. |

What kind of sick threat is that? Which country should be preparing? You know what Obama talked about last night? Being respected in the world. Peace and prosperity. Not a word about bombing our way to riches. Nance |
