Oh, noes. Obama drank a beer! LOTD:

Obama set poor example at basketball game

As I watched the news recently, I couldn’t believe what I saw. Our president, Barack Obama, enjoying himself at a basketball game in Washington. Then, I saw him drinking beer. What people do on their own time should be their business, but when the president of the United States of America takes his oath, it becomes the world’s business.

The president is supposed to be a leader by example. What kind of example is he setting? A 5-year-old boy was sitting beside him during the game. That should be a memory for that child as long as he lives. What kind of memory will he have? He went to an NBA basketball game, sat beside the president, probably received an autograph and saw him drink beer while he was there. For any child or teenager observing this behavior, wouldn’t you think they saw it as acceptable? It is not!

With all the problems for young people of this world, especially underage drinking, what was he thinking? He wasn’t thinking at all. I was shocked and appalled at what I saw. You can call me old-fashioned, narrow-minded or whatever you want. I am a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Our children learn by the examples that are put before them. This was very poor judgment on his part, or did it even matter to him? Apparently not!

It was Obama’s first presidential appearance at an NBA game. His team lost.

He was not setting a bad example. Obama was of legal age when he drank that Beer… It’s not like he was giving Mike’s Hard Lemonade to his daughters at the game or buying rounds for the kids around him. That would be underage drinking.

Good grief!!! I bet the woman that wrote this editorial drives a car in front of or with children. Does it send the bad message that will want to make children swipe the car keys & head for the open road????
Last I checked you had to be a certain age to drive, drink, smoke, vote???

Well I guess Obama isn’t driving anymore now that he is president. Whew one less thing to shield the kiddo’s eyes from…
