HEARING WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR
I seriously doubt Kidz Bop producers would change the word “looking” to “fucking.” That wouldn’t exactly be good for the very profitable franchise.

I just had my daughter run and get me her disks but we only have disks 2 and 5. The only DeGraw song we have is Chariot. I was thinking about having her ask grandma to play it in the car for shits and giggles. : ( |

I will give them this – the “looking” is definately more clear in the original than in the Kidz Bop cover. |

I thought it was just the opposite, Chris. That the lyrics were clearer in the second version, the one by Kidz Bop. I think the Gramma in the news article needs to get laid and stop looking for love in all the wrong places. 🙂 Nance |

I just asked dear daughter… She says the first version is clearly “looking” & that she hears a bad word on the second version… However she did say that she thinks that maybe she heard it only because I told her to listen for bad words.. not which word specifically. I remember in Kindergarten a bunch of us at our table on our own were rhyming words just for fun.. then someone said let’s rhyme Duck..( we just did dog, cow, cat) Pretty funny all in all…. |

Does anyone remember when the Spanish version of a popular doll horrified parents in – was it Texas? – because it said “quiero mama”, and they misheard it as “kill mommy” ? Some people just hear what’s already in their minds. |
