I don&#8217;t believe in life after death.  So why should it matter if the Mormons want to waste their time jumping into a swimming pool?  OTOH, my reputation is all that will live on after I&#8217;m dead.  I surely wouldn&#8217;t want some person 100 years from now to think that I was LDS.  On the third hand, I doubt I&#8217;ll have any reputation left to worry about 100 years from now.  And on the fourth hand, I&#8217;d hope that we would have evolved enough as a people that all this silly after-life stuff would, like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanprogress.org\/issues\/kfiles\/b79532.html\">Geneva Conventions<\/a>, be seen as &#8220;quaint.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps I should have named this post &#8220;Call me <a href=\"http:\/\/thedesertofman.files.wordpress.com\/2006\/10\/sara.JPG\">&#8216;Saraswati&#8217;<\/a>.&#8221;<br \/>\n______________________________________<\/p>\n<p>Hey, Rob&#8211; Is there any way I can refuse to be baptized when I&#8217;m dead?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m of two minds on whether it really matters if Mormons baptize dead Jews (or dead anythings, for that matter).
