“Shepherd said she approved the idea when a parent advisory council presented it. “Last year they did chocolates and it didn’t generate anything,” Shepherd said.”

I’m of the opinion that one reason public schools suck so much, is because of the parents. What say ye?

I don’t know about that. Principals have to be right up there for suckitude. One here in FAY was just fired this a.m. because she allowed an ineligible player to participate in football games. It seems the school played fast & loose with attendance & grades for one of their star players. Ended up costing the team all of their victories for the season and the principal her job.

Why are they trying to fund schools on chocolates and bribes? There’s your suckitude!

I don’t know about parents and principals, but I’ve been shocked at how hostile and demeaning the teachers are at my daughter’s school. I never expected a rose garden; I know that the job is a difficult one, but, wow, just wow. If my daughter didn’t love the social aspect of school so much, I might be able to lure her back home where she’s treated with far more respect and consideration.

It’s a hard thing to quantify, but she may be regressing academically, too, if such a thing is possible. 🙁

Psycho bitch. That’s the description of one of DD’s teachers I have heard. The woman has a complete attitude problem — rude in many ways. But DD wants to be there. I am just the least involved school parent in the world. Actually urging days off when needed. I am a “bad influence” per DD. 🙂
