    The reporter seems real hung up on “grading.” In our homeschool, we don’t “grade”, we check work as it’s done and give immediate feedback. I can’t imagine why they’d want to collect the work and “grade” it at the end of the day. Also can’t imagine that it would be a major task even if they did.

    Of course, the emphasis on grading could be the result of the reporter’s projecting his/her own preconceptions of role of grading in the educational process. After all, grading was a big part of his/her schooling so that’s how it must be for everyone, right?
