HOW MANY’S ENOUGH?
Here’s a CNNfn article on how larger families are in vogue. Given the source, it’s not surprising that they focus on upper class families who can afford nannies. No mention of homeschooling but it’s nice to know that homeschooling families were big before big was, er, big.

Feh. 4 is not large. My grandmother had six kids before the age I got married… Of course, if we get up to 6 kids, my husband will probably want us to hire a nanny. But my grandmother did it without a nanny, so he can too. (=His= grandmother had 10 children and raised them without a nanny, too. Once you have the 10th child, the oldest is usually old enough to help in the child-rearing…) |
