OT: ANY EXCUSE WILL DO
First Krispy Kreme blamed the Atkins diet for poor sales. Now, a retail group is blaming the success of Shrek 2. Whatever.

let me get this straight: gas prices are higher than they’ve been since the 1970s (adjusted for inflation) there are increased warnings about “terror chatter” there has been bad weather over much of the country (tornadoes, floods) there are still many families facing economic challenges lots of stores sell merchandise unpopular with the American majority (trampy clothes marketed to under-10 girls) And stores are blaming *a movie* for poor sales!?!?! that’s kinda like “the dog ate my homework,” I think. |
