I LOVE COUNTRY LIVING!
Except I just spent an hour on the riding lawn mower. And got about 1/5 of the yard finished.

When I was a teen, it used to take me about two hours to mow and trim an acre. You’ve got how many? |

Time to upgrade to a tractor. |

4.7 total. Probably 2.5 of grass. |

Any trees, bushes, etc. on that 2.5? You could do as my father did after I left home and wasn’t around to do the trimming any more — cut down everything in your path! |

I edge around the fence with vinegar. A good soaking will up the acidity of the soil on the fence line and stunt plant growth – no edging. Best part is the cost – About $1.50 for 2 quarts of vinegar. |

In the city, I’ve noticed a trend toward what they’re calling Patio Homes. I asked a realtor what that meant, and I got an answer I did not understand. So I asked a friend, and he told me what it really means: no yard. Although your yard sounds like acreage, it seems like kids need a yard of some sort. And I agree with the other comments about tractor shopping! Have a great weekend! |
