    You can buy and sell adult materials (I’m not sure…I think the bidders’ names are hidden for view). You can buy pirated movies, and copied DVDs, and copied software and the questions and answers to adult certification tests…if you know how to search for those things. But you can’t buy teachers’ manuals because some kids cheat on their standardized tests. Perhaps they tightened the rules on these other items when they changed the rules for teachers’ manuals. But I once saw a sale for copied Macromedia software (excuse me, “back up CDs”) listed in the cosmetics area, so the sellers know how to get around the policing. I got duped big bucks for a “Little Mermaid” DVD a few years ago, and 3 weeks after the sale was final, Ebay emailed me “don’t complete the sale, it may be copy.” Who waits three weeks to pay for an auction? … I don’t have much tolerance for Ebay anymore. It was good in the beginning, but now….
