I HAVE AN ILLEGAL SON
Evidently, Jonathan was born illegally. Does that mean the state can take back his birth certificate? Will NC extradite him back to DE?
Jonathan was the only one not born is a hospital. Afterwards, Lydia said she wished she had known about nurse midwives for the other three.

Eva wasn’t born illegally. We couldn’t find an illegal midwife, so we had her at home without one, which isn’t illegal. |

It amazes me that one of life’s most basic functions (and miracles), giving birth, is reduced to being illegal unless following state sanctions in many areas. OTOH, in SC, where my kids were both born at home with a midwife, home birth *is* legal. |
