HEADS UP: SC
Really ugly article. It pulls out all the hoary chestnuts including kids “slipping through the cracks.” It promises that tougher regulations are coming. South Carolinians, you know what to do.

Let’s see some video of public school 8-year-olds who can’t read. Are they not slipping through the cracks? Same goes for kids who graduate from public high school without being able to read. |

What percentage of public school students are a year “behind” in reading after 2nd grade? I am losing patience with this double standard. |

Oh geez… so what’s worse? A small percentage of a minority who screw up teaching their own kids? Or the on-going, systematic screw up perpetrated by public schooling on the vast majority of American kids? |
