DUH!
My local newspaper is asking for reader feedback on the following questions:
When do you expect the war in Iraq to end? What will it take to end it?
I thought the answer was obvious– Jan. 20, 2009 when the Moron in Chief is finally history and a Democrat takes the oath of office.

I don’t know about that…many of us thought it would end after the last election when the Dems gained the majority in the house and evened things out in the senate. But what have they done so far? Not a damn thing. |

Exactly. So which Dem has pledged to start withdrawing troops on day 1? And has a workable plan to do it? And has any sort of clue about how to work with Congress? Nance |

Obama yesterday made a clear statement yesterday. The time to start withdrawing troops is now. I expect HRC will follow within the next 48 hours. Dodd and Edwards have both made similar statements. As for working with Congress, that will be a piece of cake. Dems will likely pick up 4-5 Senate seats in 2008. That will make the Lieberman wing irrelevant and the GOP a non-entity. I’d expect maybe another 10-20 in the House which will help to marginalize the Blue Dogs. |

When do you expect the war in Iraq to end? How long does it take for the Kool-aid to wear off, again? What will it take to end it? An enormous Dyson, strong enough to suck the last oil reserves there drier than a Slim Jim. |
