GUILT BY ASSOCIATION
Let’s see– McCain’s lead for the transition (which ain’t gonna ever happen) lobbied for Saddam to get sanctions lifted. I guess that means that McCain was objectively pro-Saddam. How come McCain hates the troops?

The snippy-non-answer-from-hawkish-McCain-guys-who-get-touchy: “Oh yeah? Well, at least a McCain administration will be able to form their own opinions without kneeling before their UN masters first!” Rob’s gut reaction answer: “How come we snooze when we hear about Obama having an unrepentant domestic terrorist help him launch his political campaign in ’95, but we get all excited when we learn a minor McCain functionary once worked with Saadam lobbyists in ’92?” Rob’s real reaction: “I’m glad Saadam and his sons are dead, and last time I checked, so is most of Iraq.” |

Daryl’s real reaction to Rob’s gut: “Are you really that confused?” I couldn’t care less about the lobbyist’s connection. It’s the hypocrisy, stupid. |

OOH – can we talk about “elitist” versus small-town hockey mom hunter hypocrisy here, too? I don’t care about Cindy McCain’s $300,000 outfit or Sarah Palin’s $150,000 campaign wardrobe from Sak’s etc, but the hypocrisy is direct and disgusting . . . |
