Well, I’m worried about what the next 4 or 8 years will bring to this country. But I can set that aside and be totally jazzed that America has elected it’s first non-white president. That is indeed the closing of a chapter in this country’s history, and the opening of another chapter.

My dad personally witnessed a bunch of punk kids on a bus in Chicago, take the “no blacks in front of this sign” and move it back several rows, just so they could get their juvinile kicks out of making some poor lady move. We’ve come a long way, baby!

And if he can avoid being another Jimmy Carter, more power to him.

1 step forward for blacks, two steps back for gays. The legal ramifications of forcing annulment on thousands of married people in CA should be interesting. Not to mention, where not only can gays not adopt, non-married heteros can’t either. Hope the kids in Arkansas enjoy life in foster care.
