In effect, the VA has trampled on the needs of Christian and Catholic veterans in order to meet the requirements of some unidentified third party that would be offended by the presence of a cross and Bible.<\/p>\n<p>It is curious that the Army has not followed the same course. It clearly has more religious persuasions to accommodate than the VA. There are more than 100 nations and virtually every religion represented in the Army. Yet the Army has elected to preserve its Christian (and Catholic) traditions while adjusting, as appropriate, to the needs of others. No one has protested the way that things have been done at Fort Bragg.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>according to my local paper.
