Utterly Meaningless

I would make a wise-acre joke and ask, “Well, why isn’t it warmer,” but this is a weirdly-warm January day. “When I was a kid” (the geezerette said), it got cold, it stayed cold. I spent New Year’s Eve of ’68 here (memorable because it was post-highschool graduation and I’d come back for the holidays), and it was frigid, with snow, as were years before and immediately after. Right now, it’s 50 in the shade on the north side of the house, and it’s been like this for days.
