AND THE SECOND RUNNER UP
for the state with the crappiest home education laws…. (drumroll)….
Their new and improved version might be better. But better is still far from good. (via NCSW)

Ahhhh… Big brother moves from the domestic spying front and sets its gaze upon the “homescooling” front. Yeeha! Why aren’t there more laws making public school teachers responsible/liable in the event that a child isn’t “performing up to standards” ? I’m sure that by now they realize that home schooled children aren’t getting a “sub par” education. This is more of a control issue, I’d say. God forbid that folks school thier children at home and teach them that the government isn’t always right. God forbid that these kids learn to think for themselves, heck then they’d lose thier unfettered grasp of all the power in this country. They need to worry about the majority of children that aren’t getting a decent education, moreso than any homeschooled child. |

Amazing. Another state that I do not want to move to. And did you see how SC was the *featured* state on 20/20’s Stupid in America? Yes, SC is doing just a fine job. Hopfully the SC HS’ers are fighting this bill. |
