Scott Somerville has come out in favor of publishing derogatory cartoons of Mohammed, calling it “courageism.” Sounds like “truthiness” to me.

But what if Johnny Damon had looked like Mohammed instead of Jesus?

That post made me feel like a real American. Excuse me while I put on some good southern rock, and find a baseball bat to stick in my gun rack. Wave the flag and hate someone today!

Okay, sorry for the rant, but Scott won’t post my comments. And they aren’t in the least bit offensive. So much for being courageous.

Sounds like a cause for the Unitarian Jihad. 😉

Hmmm…though it is the case that Western values of free speech and tolerance are under threat – and this whether or not those cartoons had been published.

And at least the reaction to the cartoons woke up the population in the UK and the MSM to the dangers of moral relativism, which has to this point (and despite the London bombings) been rife and which often underpinned a failure to condemn the London bombs. People here are finally beginning to realise that publishing mildly derogatory cartoons is acceptable, if not commendable, and that murder and arson are not. This, sadly, had been far from obvious to many here.
