    Mike Huckabee:

He started off by expressing his gratitude to bloggers that support him (and others who give him the attention he deserves), explaining that if it wasn’t for the blogosphere, he wouldn’t be surging in the polls. “You are the wind beneath my wings,” he said.

15 yards and an automatic first down!

The real question is how does HSLDA feel about Bette Midler? Is she on the approved music list?

One of my brothers had this song played during his wedding while he and his about-to-be-wife stood and stared lovingly at each other. Or they might have been kneeling to pray, I don’t remember. Either way, it sucked.

Huckabee is an interesting candidate that has gained the support of HSLDA. This is interesting given that Huckbee made it harder to homeschool in Arkansas. He passed a law in 1997 easing restrictions, then in a short two years managed to undo some of those gains. This isn’t even my words, HSLDA talked about it on their own website. That coupled with his other education reforms make this endorsement by HSLDA very odd. No endorsement would have been better than giving him the nod.
