I remember taking social studies in 5th or 6th grade. We studied Ghana. To this day I don’t understand the point. My kids have studied Greek, Roman, and Egyptian culture as part of studying history. Total cost? I doubt we’ve spent $20 bucks, 99% of the material came from the public library and the Internet.
