NOT BAD
NJ home educator Greg Millman has a piece on homeschooling in today’s WaPo. Overall, it’s a pretty good summary, but I’m pretty sure he blew the CA ruling.
BTW, Millman will be hosting an online chat to discuss the article on Monday at 1300 EDT.

As always though, the comments just slay me. Who knew if we got just got involved with the PTA instead of homeschooling we could change the entire school community for the better? Yeah, right. 🙂 |

Did you check out the comments? Man, some of those people have pretty screwed up views of homeschooling. Like ‘where the hell do they get this stuff?’ – kind of screwed up. |

Yeah, I agree with you, NJ. I love this sentiment especially: “Just sacrifice your bright, eager child for the good of the group!” a) HA! No. and b) Will my child make THAT big an impact on the system? Oh, that’s right – he won’t. But the system would certainly make a huge impact on his life. So excuse us while we do what we feel is best for our family. |
