IS IT OK TO LINK TO HSB…
if I’m making fun of them? Via Toni, another example of a home educator gone off her meds.
I really don’t like Subway’s food very much. In fact, I remember the exact date I last ate in one. April 18, 2005. But I think I’ll make a visit or two this week, just to counteract the loons.

In my experience people that seem to look for ways to be offended are generally not disappointed. This whole thing is a case of weighing evil intent vs. ignorance. I vote ignorance on Subway’s part, not evil. This is a chance for education, not spite. Poor Subway it seems like their road to hell was paved w/ good intentions. Lighten up Fundies & pull your undies out of your crack! That pinched face look doesn’t flatter you! In fact, I bet Jesus didn’t even wear undies. |

My daughter said her boss (a nice asian man with limited english), received an angry email at home.. neither has any idea how his personal email was associated with his small rural franchised Subway – and the poor man had no idea what the writer was carrying on about – as an independent owner, he has no clue about any corporate contest that doesn’t involve store participation. I’m guessing that this “boycott” will go right over the heads of most of the store owners. Oh, and she said yesterday’s receipts (they’re on a major highway from the beach to the metro area) was a record daily take. I guess no homeschoolers went to the beach over the holiday weekend, too busy writing angry missives about a contest they couldn’t enter. |

American Family Association, the group whose leader, Don Wildmon, is not happy unless hysterically calling for boycott, is now on Subway’s case. Can anyone say “Pavlov’s dogs?” Point me to a Subway franchise owned by a married pagan homosexual couple who are ACLU and NCSE members and who have adopted children from their state’s Dept. of Children’s Services. I’ll ask for a footlong… sandwich, that is. |

And now HSLDA has jumped on the bandwagon. And thus the fundie circle of paranoia is complete. |

And keep in mind that AFA *really* wants to be allowed to continue discriminating- recall their Action Alerts in the wake of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act a while back…? So, discriminating is really ok, just not against homeschoolers? |

Y’know, until today I don’t believe I was ever ashamed to call myself a home educator. |

So Subway has decided to include hsers in future contests. All because of the crusading saviors of hsing freedom. And you guys didn’t even help! So no playground equipment you don’t need for you! 🙂 Nance |

I love the fact that an HSB blogger is calling us narrow minded! |

Point me to a Subway franchise owned by a married pagan homosexual couple who are ACLU and NCSE members and who have adopted children from their state’s Dept. of Children’s Services. Doesn’t meet all your requirements, but the nearest Subway to me is owned by one of my coven members and his husband (they married last year — handfasted and legally wed by the Province of MB). He is Belgian and his husband is Dakota-Ojibway. They adopted his husband’s niece last year after his sister passed away. They are not members of the ACLU nor NCSE, but that is probably because they’re Canadians. And, all Canadians were dismissed from the contest, too, by the way. We would be outraged, but as it is, we’re just sorry to have inconvenienced anyone by mentioning it in the first place. |

[…] guess this is what I get for following a link from HERP&ES to HSB. Daryl made a snarky comment regarding an HSB blogger harping on the ridiculous Subway […] |
