STATUS QUO ANTE
The “environmentalist” side of the homeschooling blogosphere is all agog over the great victory in CA. Yes, the court voided the original decision, but it didn’t find in the CA constitution an inalienable right to homeschool. That’s what HSLDA had pushed for in this godawful test case. They lost and all of the spinning in the world will not erase that fact.

So it’s legal to homeschool in CA again? 🙂 So much spin it is difficult to keep up with the non-change this story has brought. Nance |

Especially for the poor kids in that family, who have been abused both by their parents AND the system, and lost in the fray over homeschool rights too. . .it’s no proud public victory for home education as worthy social policy imo. |
