BEST ONION RINGS AND SWEET TEA IN THE WORLD
Yeah, the Constitution Party candidate has absolutely zero percent chance of winning even a single electoral vote. But I have to give him props for his choice of venue.

I’ve seen that sweet tea at the commissary. I think I’ll pick some up next time. |

I’m going to look for it at the Piggly Wiggly in St. Pauls. It’s won’t be quite the same without having to tell J.C. your order and having him “translate” it into short-order-ese. When Lydia and I were dating, I made sure to introduce her to the joys of The Beacon. Last Christmas the kids got inaugurated, too. BTW, the restaurant was featured on the Food Channel’s show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. |

Having grown up in Spartanburg I can tell ya, the Beacon is an *institution*, and very popular with presidential candidates of all sorts… John Edwards was even there a few months ago. If you ever go to the Beacon to eat, make sure to take along some Maalox. 🙂 |
